Summer 2008 Curriculum
Inshah Allah, during the summer of 2008, MCC School will focus its program on teaching the children about tolerance and perseverance. Below is the outline of our summer program. Please visit our website at http://www.mccschool.org/ for registration forms and more details as they become available.
Groups
· Pink – Ages 5, 6, 7· Teal – Ages 8, 9, 10, 11Indigo – Ages 12 and up
Schedule
Monday and Wednesday – 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (classes, all groups)
Saturday – 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (activities and field trips, all groups)
This may change slightly depending on the locations of our field trips
First Day of Class – Monday, June 16th
Last Day of Class – Saturday , July 26th
Summer Break – No School Saturday, July 5th
Qur’an
· Understanding and memorization of selected surahso Tafseer and TranslationReview of Arabic letters and their different shapes
Learn new vocabulary words
Islamic Studies
· Prayer and Wudu· Dua· The life of Prophet Musa (A.S.)Additional Activities· Field Trips· Extra-curricular, hands-on projects· Prepare and present a play for the final project
